Amazon is very close to its hunt for the new city for its 2nd headquarters. As said by the sources of Washington Post, the internet giant had the discussions regarding the placement of the desired place in Arlington, a neighborhood of the Crystal City of Virginia.
As said by the insiders, the company is in a more detailed talk in comparison to any other location in the northern region of the state, and a lot of activity is going on there.
JBG Smith, the man real estate builder of the Crystal city has even taken some of the building off the market for leasing, whereas the officials have said that they are going to make an announcement in the latter half of November.
However, JBG Smith, Amazon, and relevant political members denied making any comment about it. Though, this made the selection sound like a lock for the ones involved in it is cautious. They have a thought that there would be some kind of discussion in other cities as well and that Amazon could still select another region instead of all the signs. Relocation experts, investors, and politicians have a wider region on Washington in their view as a strong candidate.
Though, this is not the only or final option. As said by the contacts of CNBC that the final selection of Amazon might be Austin or Northern Virginia, Texas, and could get spilled in between these 2 cities. Austin is already a huge hub of technology with organizations like Google, Dell, and Apple working in or nearby the capital of the state.
The question still stays that the final winning city and its state will make the required sacrifices for having an Amazon building. However, the company has claimed to generate 50 Thousand jobs and $5Billion of capital investments, political leaders have provided subsidies or billions along with other incentives.
